The American Zen Association provides oversight and support to the New Orleans Zen Temple and other dojos in the region, including those in Mississippi and Alabama. The AZA also participates in the publishing of rare and important english-language texts from teachers in the lineage.

The AZA became a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization in 1984, and all donations are tax-deductible as permitted by law.

Membership

Membership to the temple provides access to all zazen periods, and discounts on retreats and supplies. Only members in good standing (three months or more) may receive dokusan from Livingston Roshi.

Dues can be paid by mail or at the dojo. Member support is crucial to the health and future of the Temple, and supports all activities and programs.
